Weeeee! I finally Graduated from College~~

I couldn’t be any much happier, aside from the fact that I’m done with school now, that I graduated already!!! Happy in a sense that I accomplished something this big and for making papa and mama proud! I wouldn’t have made it without them and of course with God’s constant guidance and blessings.

It’s such a surreal feeling remembering the first time I took grounds on my Alma Mater and now that I’m leaving it, it makes me tear up a bit…hahaha! I will forever treasure all my college memories; (it was after all, five years in the making!) the friends I made along the way, met the person who always make me feel special and loved (*cough-cough* :D), the experiences that really taught me so much, and all other things that I have only done in college…hahaha!

Honestly, after the graduation ceremony, I was faced with the question; “What now?”. Both feelings of fear and excitement enthralled me but I was confident enough that God will always be there to guide and support me and of course with also the help of my family, friends, and Jerick.

Looking ahead for what’s in store for me in the real world!~ :))

Seeing your name inked in gold letters is just a proud and satisfying moment. All our hardwork and utmost efforts can now be immortalized through these “books” (char!). But there are a few setbacks/concerns i have with these. First, our printout is not that clean since I can’t print with my usual printer anymore, so instead, Jerick’s the one who printed and all their printers have these dot blotting on the right side of the paper. Though it’s just a little, the OCD in me can’t stand it, but, oh well…we dont want to spend any more money to print outside. Second, our acknowledgement and abstract were not sequenced properly. So, i had to “surgically” transfer them in their proper places…haha!. Third, we got the wrong CD case for our soft copy. Didn’t realize (who would???) that the back part should also be clear, when all that was written in the checklist is ” clear case”…. ours was black, by the way. Jerick had to scout for that elusive “clear case” far and wide. hahaha! you can tell i’m whining again…pffft -__-

Today, I also completed my clearance and seeing that stamp is simply a breath of fresh air. Though I’m still not completely relieved since there are still a lot of things to do with our other subjects….oh well, oh well…. God is on my side, so it lessens the worry…teehee! ^____^

Weeee~ Finally got through out the eye of the needle!… And we came out alive! Thank you God!! :D

All those tiring days of doing experiments, shameless recruitment of people as respondents, going through the security guard just to let outsiders come in (and this is no easy task), dealing with a certain teacher who almost doesn’t want us to use the experiment room we’re using (as if we have a choice…so weird) and doesn’t sign our permit letters (to let outsiders in) right away…thus the dealing-with-the-security-guards part…haha! (this post is becoming a ranting board…pardon moi!),…to continue; spending a lot of moolahs for snacks and fare for our respondents, conflicting schedules (respondents and researchers), annoying people…hahaha!

But despite all of these, we also have a lot to thank for, the people close to our hearts; our parents, my mama and titas, most especially for being my recruitment agency…haha! it pays a lot when you’re friendly…sadly for me, im not that sociable. Jerick’s household workers (i.e helpers, gardener, driver, carpenter, etc.), and Dexter’s neighbors and cousins…. Some of our classmates and schoolmates too for taking a part of their time to participate. Isn’t it obvious that the data gathering is the hardest part in our thesis?? hahaha! I’m just very thankful for all those people. We also have to thank our dear adviser for being a great help in this study and for patiently answering our queries… and lastly, and more importantly, to God, just for everything!~ :)))) (this is not the acknowledgment part in our written output, by the way….haha!)

We’re still making a few additions to our written output though, and hopefully get an outstanding grade if we can comply. After this… I now have to focus with other subjects, coz it’s not only passing thesis that can make me graduate this March, ya know…haha! Financial Management is not my cup-of-tea/walk-in-the-park/piece-of-cake thing, so i have to work extra hard for it…boo!

PROJECT Eggs Benedict: Check!

I’m so glad we got the right texture and taste for the hollandaise sauce in our first attempt. The poached eggs were a different matter though. I think we only got 2 perfectly shaped poached eggs. Jerick and I made two servings (one for each of us), with 2 sets for each servings, just like the ones in “a cafe”. And yeah, we were inspired to make this after trying this out at that certain restaurant which is located in Crossroads, Banilad, which I also think is overly priced for its serving size (P365.00). So obviously, we just made something of our own. I don’t want to make this on a daily breakfast basis though because the sauce and poaching is quite tedious to do. Nonetheless, it tasted great and can be at par with that of the P365.00 version…/bias~ hahaha! XD

M/V Logos Hope~ (the floating book fair)

Went there with Jerick a few weeks ago and getting there was a challenge since we got lost, like twice or thrice…ahaha! Also, we bumped into some of our classmates on board and the more the merrier!~ :)))

The 20-peso entrance fee was quite a steal since everything inside the ship was just pretty and quite educational. The books they sell are priced reasonably and a wide variety of them can be chosen from. Jerick actually got to buy some books for 500 pesos. Actually, it’s not the books that are valued as such but this souvenir bag (that’s like just any mesh bag we see in groceries) that we have to buy for 500 pesos (units, actually) and we can already choose 3 FREE books from their special pile. Jerick got a financial management book, a supply-chain, and an operations management book (so IE eh?). As for me, I ended up buying nothing since I got a lot of choices but can’t decide which one to buy.

Going through the open-for-public area is like actually going in a maze or route. First thing we see upon entering is their receiving area adjacent with some displays of a cabin and a steering simulator, and some of the ship’s history and infos on the wall. Entering their book store is just like going in to the usual book store we see in malls, the only difference is that its in a ship…hehe.. The special piles of books where Jerick got to buy is situated in another room, where after it is an area where pictures are displayed on the wall depicting about life and God. A German lady narrated the parable of the Prodigal Son while going through the whole area. At the end of it is their mini viewing room where a projector screen is laden for viewing purposes. Upon exiting, their International Cafe greeted us where we bought some soft-served ice cream, lemonade, and a Bounty bar. The foods/drinks are quite pricey, but its okay since we can’t really have this on a day-to-day basis.

The whole experience was fun, an learning-wise, it was great! I hope I can go on-board again once they get back a year after or so~ :))

I was just so happy that both Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka won this year’s Aussie Open, coz I really think they deserve it!

Off to the next grand slam event… the French Open… still a few months away but I’m already excited… heee~ :)))

My attempt on making a bib necklace using the spare beads that I used for making bracelets (will have to post about those cutesy bracelets which I have been regularly using SOON) and an extra gold ribbon.

It’s still not finished though. Just used a thread (with a needle) to connect and sew the beads to the ribbon. I hope I can find more free time to do my crafts … :)))

Crocheted Beanies!

I made this one for Jerick as a Christmas gift, thus the familiar colors! There’s also a black version of these but just didn’t made it in this photoshoot! haha~

Used the puff stitch for the entire beanie’s body and a different one for the ribbing (i’m not really familiar with crochet terms…. hahaha!).

My favorite thing to crochet are bows!

Aside from them being easy to make (just used chain stitches!)they’re also cute to look at and wear, and by that, I love wearing them when my bangs get annoying sometimes.

Crocheted them in different pastel colors which added to the cute-ness factor. I just slip on hairpins or hairclips into them so that they can be attached to the hair! :))

P.S. Just made a new watermark, by the way! XD

waaaah! just recently looked at my archives and I realized that my tumblog just turned 1 year old last January 1, 2012!

I forgot that one of my new year’s resolution last year is to start my own blog where I can post anything I want and like, and I actually started to post my 1st post on the 1st day of the year! (January 1 , 2011) This year though, I hope I can post more of my own and less reblogs… haha!

Another food adventure I had with Jerick! :)))

Went to SM and decided to eat at their foodcourt for lunch. After some strolling and trololling [haha!], we went hungry again and decided to go to S & R. I miss their gigantic slices of pizza and their almost literally bottomless drinks! This time I ordered their combo while Jerick had their garlic shrimp. We’re addicted to onions, ya’ know…. slobbered our pizzas with lots of them! This time, we finally tried their ice creams and decided to get this very yummy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor, and believe me, it’s to die for!… hahaha! (exagg! )
